Group Fitness Classes Classes are offered as part of an Independent Pool Pass purchase and are available by reservation for up to 10 participants per class. Please note: Evening classes require reservations to participate. You must register for the class no later than 12 pm on the scheduled day. A minimum of 3 participants is required to hold the class. AquaFit Mondays 5:00 – 6:00 pm AquaFit is a high intensity, challenging class that combines cardiovascular aerobic training with muscular strengthening using the aquatic environment and a variety of equipment. This class is like boot camp in the pool and is never done the same way twice. Hydro-Pilates Tuesdays 5:30 – 6:30 pm Hydro-Pilates is a moderately challenging class that crosses principles of yoga, gentle body calisthenics, and core strengthening exercises to improve flexibility, general strength, and balance. New! “Upkeep” Class Program Wednesdays 5:30 – 6:30 pm The Upkeep Program is a series of maintenance classes for those who have previously graduated from physical therapy. Therapy staff will provide education and lead aquatic exercises in a group format catered to core strength, lower body strength, upper body strength, and balance on a weekly rotating basis. Ai Chi Thursdays 5:30 – 6:30 pm Ai Chi is a mild intensity class that emphasizes connecting mind and body through associating deep breathing techniques with broad movement patterns while the lights are turned down and soft background music is played. The exercises are relaxing and meditative with the added benefit of holding positions that moderately challenge balance.
